The
Friends of the Yonkers Animal Shelter held a dinner-dance on April 5th.
2003 at the Catholic Slovak Club in Yonkers, NY. Not only was this a fundraiser
for FYAS, but we also honored Nikki Manookian of Just Strays, a local cat
rescuer. She traps, spays & neuters stray cats throughout the Westchester
area and also has cats that are in need of finding their forever home.
There was a full house, along with local politicians New York State Assemblyman
Michael Spano, Yonkers Majority Leader Vinni Restiano, Councilwoman Dee
Barbado and a few others.
