to the Friends of the Yonkers Animal Shelter website. We are a 501 (3)©
non-profit organization created to assist in saving stray or owner-surrendered
dogs and cats. These animals are in need of a forever home. Not only is
this a more humane alternative, but it also is a blessing for families who

Any
rescues in need of homechecks done in the Westchester, lower Rockland,
and Putnam counties (NY) or any rescue group interested in assistance
with transporting please contact Julie
or Dora-Lynn.
Having done this for a number of years with certain rescue groups, we
want to extend this courtesy to anyone else who might be interested
and could use the help.

Buy
a Friends of the Yonkers Animal Shelter T-shirt. They are $10.00 each
for Small - Extra Large. XX Large will be $10.50. They are white with
blue lettering and gray with black lettering on the logo.
- Have your pets spayed or neutered. This prevents disease and overbreeding.
- Make sure your pet has an identification tag.
- Enroll your pet in behavioral training classes.
- Make sure your pet has a complete check up at least once a year.
- Give them plenty of love and affection, and they'll do the same!
